A Working Icemaker

Weve had this refrigerator for six months and love it. It has been problem-free since we purchased it. The best part of it is the icemaker. It makes small ice cubes in the top door section that are the perfect size and in the bottom it makes round ice balls for craft cocktails which get a lot of ooohs and aaaahs from our guests. Our last refrigerator another brand was wonderful but the icemaker was a joke. It constantly froze up and was totally unreliable. After numerous unsuccessful service calls our warranty just gave us money to buy a new refrigerator. Our appliance specialist recommended this LG model and were glad he did. The ability to see through the glass door is a great feature. There is plenty of interior room and there are options for configuring the space to fit your needs. The flexible top pullout drawer lets us customize this space depending on our current needs. I dont have a single complaint about this refrigerator. Its very sleek and attractive on the outside and is an attractive addition to our beautiful kitchen. But its the ICE that has totally won me over

Craft Icemaker design flawed

This frig is two years old. Two major things wrong with this frig. Te first is the freezer drawers. The inner upper drawer cant be pulled out all the way. That makes it difficult to get/see anything in the back of both drawers. The biggest design issue is with the craft icemaker. It is really slick when it works and the craft cubes fantastic for cocktails. However it doesnt work for long. The first failure was at six months and replaced under warranty. The replace icemaker failed three months later. Both times were preceded by loud knocking then ice cubes stopped being made and the ice drawer filled with water and froze into a sheet. No troubleshooting or help in Support.

Bery Useful w diff compartments to store in

Ive been overly happy and very useful w 7 kids in home. Able to store snacks separate from main meal prep. Only issue i had was compressor went out unexpectedly i lost everything i went the day b4 and bought. Everyone knows jow expensive that is my family are meat eaters so i lost $400. BUT they sent someone out fixed it im back to running and now waiting for compensation they are supposed to send to help me out some.

Nice refrigerator. The tap on door light up feature is more of an affectation for me rather than a useful feature but kind of cool. The craft ice is very nice - until it breaks down which mine did. It was easy for me to fix but the part cost over $200. Interestingly the part was listed as an upgrade which makes me wonder if the initial craft ice maker had a defect. The freezer fan also needed replacement. Fortunately this problem occurred while still under warranty.

Nice refrigerator with a very stylish appearance.

We are enjoying our new refrigerator that was delivered mid-February 2024. The style is very nice and looks great in our kitchen. We get lots of compliments on it. We enjoy having the freezer on the bottom and this model has two ice makers - one on the outside of the door and it also has a large tray in the freezer for when you need much more ice.

It is a good product for a smaller size family of 2-3 people. I really like the design fits well in a small kitchen. Nice looking the water and different kinds of ice is a great feature. The side door bins are small and are ok for thin and small bottles. Middle drawer convenient and you can change the temperature to make it an extra fridge or freezer drawer. Not thrilled about the flimsiness of some of the plastic. If you are looking for extra large freezer space this may not be enough for your needs be sure to get all measurements before purchasing.

I love this refrigerator. Purchased 3 years ago and have had only one problem. It suddenly stopped getting cold. I received a text from LG Thin that the sealant coolant system has a problem. I scheduled a repair technician came out with parts in hand and made repairs in less than 30 minutes. I like the convenace of the draw for items.I store cheesesbreakfast meats yogurts there. Utilizing the freezer for meatsice cream etc. Having the cube balls in addition to the ice from the ice maker is another plus. This refrigerator is just what I needed. Cant forget the dual door for fast drinksmilk etc that allows access to these items without opening the entire refrigerator.

Wide temperature fluctuation

I bought this 30 months ago and the compressor had to be replaced. Thankfully I purchased an extended warranty. Still the refrigerator has a wide temperature fluctuation of 35 to 46 degrees when set at 36 degrees.

Defective straight out of the box

I bought this refrigerator and it was defective straight out of the box. Freezer works but the top refrigerator does not. Called to get a replacement and I got the run around from both LG and US Appliance both saying to contact the other and they could not replace the item and the only option was to try and repair it. Its been 3 weeks now without a working refrigerator. Lg sent out a repairman who was unable to fix the problem. I have called asking for a replacement for the lemon and still the only option is to wait for a repair. I now must wait for the repairman to call in a specialist and see if he can fix it which wont be for another couple weeks. Hopes and prayers the specialist can fix it and we dont have problems down the road. For now I have a very expensive hunk of crap.

Very nice fridge a couple of issues...

We have had our fridge for 2 years and are very happy with it. A couple of small issues. The craft ice maker is very slow to get started. It took several days to finally start making ice and has occasionally stopped working. But it has re-started when the reset button is pressed. The ice maker in the door can sometimes freeze ice in a mass that will not drop down into the dispenser. But by opening the door latch and pushing the blockage down it will work properly. Also the fridge has to be perfectly level or the door latches do not close properly. Leveling the machine is not easy but solves the problem. The light that comes on when you knock on the door is cool but we hardly ever use it because you cant really see the majority of things inside. Also be advised that the width of the fridge is listed at 36 inches. But if you slide it all the way into a 36 inch opening it will not open because the doors protrude further than 36 inches from the fridge. We had to make the opening in our kitchen larger to accommodate this.

Stopped working-Terrible customer service -

Still waiting for LG 11/3/2023

I bought this and it stopped working in June 2021. I had well over $950 worth of food go bad. I was told I would get a partial compensation for the loss. I understand things happen. But I dont recommend dealing with LG because of this experience. 2023 is almost over and they never sent the check.

So weve only had our new refrigerator for a short time it has performed as expected. No issues to report. We did notice that the actual temperature was slightly off when using two different temperature probes. We set the temperature to the recommended 37 degrees. Although it varied some the actual temp was more like 39 degrees. No an issue as we made the adjustment and went on with life. I love the door in a door feature. Very handy to get common things like mile juice etc without having to open a big door. The dual ice makers are nice too. Love the craft ice for drinks. And lastly we like the counter depth aspect as well.

It is now September 30th and weve had many service calls to attempt to fix it. Its been eight weeks of living out of coolers and a mini-fridge. All I want is a replacement or a refund. Please LG. Good but disppointed with white powder

I bought it 8 months ago love almost everthing the only complain is that the water Water/ice dispenser opening keep dropping white powder in large amount to the point that I have to wash the plate under the water/ice dispenser twice a day with soap. I was told by the customer service this powder comes from my hard water source in my area they can do nothing to help me So disappointed

We love the features of the fridge and the Wi-Fi informs us of filter changes when needed. The easy access door is where the milk and coffee creamer live easy access drawer keeps deli meats and other quick access items. The drawer freezer is easy to sort through. My complaints would be that we have a lot of condiments that used to live on the inside door but now take a shelf up. You dig thru it looking for something and the door beeps at you because its been open too long adding pressure to you not finding something. Our craft ice maker is awesome and a bragging point it has quit working but the fridge let us know and LG scheduled a tech and a new part within in a week at no cost.

Metal shards are in the craft ice

I bought fridge at Warners Stellian. I told them about shards of metal in the ice on the 2nd day. They said sorry at least its under warranty and theyd try and call in service and see if LG will do anything. This is a serious product safety issue that no one is taking seriously.

Bought all LG products for our new kitchen: super excited about the counter depth fridge and even though you give up space for counter depth it looks amazing. However the piece on the door the closes to close the gap on the French doors stopped closeing after just a few months. Someone came out to fix it but it is broken again and now that the fridge is over a year old the warranty is done and LG will not take care of it even though it was a problem before the warranty was up. Very poor customer service and very disappointing for a fridge that costs what it does. Expected more from LG

Roomy and I love the features

Ive only had this a couple of months but Im very pleased with it. Its great for some of those oversized pans and tall pitchers. I absolutely love my third door It makes it so easy to grab and go. It also keeps the grandkids from standing in front of the fridge with door open looking for drinks and snacks. Im also a huge fan of the two bottom freezers. Im short and this is a godsend. My only complaint was one of the gaskets didnt seal properly when I first got it. A technician came out and fixed everything and now it works beautifully.

My dream fridge

Ive been wanting this for awhile. Finally bought it on sale in June 2022. I love the dark stainless. Its next to another stainless steel double oven and it blends in. They seem to reflect each other. Hubby lives the door-in-door and so do I. Its actually room The dual temp can be fridge or freezer slide out compartment under the fridge is used for all our lunch and breakfast items. I like that I can change the temperature to do a fast cool down of sodas. I still have to get used to the slide out freezer but its a matter of organizing. Never having had a freezer like this I am still getting used to stacking differently. I bought some storage bins so I decant into them and can stack them so its neater and organized. I love being able to put pizzas in the shallow freezer slide out. The craft ice balls are always a winner when we serve drinks. The door dispenses ice cubes and water. Personally Im fine without one because I hear they are the most likely thing to stop working in any brand across the board. Plus you have to empty every few days if you dont use it up. Its very easy to do that and it is nice for other people to get ice without asking me where my ice cubes are. So I do wish there was a water dispenser but not an Ice dispenser. The refrigerator Is very roomy and I have a counter depth fridge. It is easy to organize I can open either door by itself without having to open the other. Overall Im very happy with my dream refrigerator.
