Well to start off the machine works great and has great features. The only thing that I dont like is that it automatically selects warm water and if you dont use warm water setting one has to change to cold water. The other issue that I had that this machine was ordered at Home Depot. Apparently the display item has a glass top of which I received a plastic top and neither did Home Depot nor the delivery company had an explanation for this. This now became an ordeal of finger pointing and blaming anyone else instead of finding a solution. Apparently LG makes the same model and one with a plastic lid and the other with the glass lid. The web page to LG shows the glass lid and the description at the Home Depot does not provide a complete detail of the machine. Well all said and done had to go back to Home Depot again of which a customer service rep there was able to get me a warranty replacement for the glass lid of which I had never received in the first place and now Im pending for the part to arrive to get it installed.

This is the best washer to purchase if you want to drain your well dry use extra electricity and have to watch your machine during every load of laundry to make sure the machine does not malfunction. If you like hour and half calls to customer service on your day off then this is the machine for you You will pay a lot of money for a machine that doesnt work and then get no help to remedy the problem. Its the BEST

Got this piece of garbage a few months ago. It waste so much water tryng to spin the load dry. Rearrange cloths all the time but still no good. Usually end up taking cloths out and ringing the water out of them then drying them in the new lg dryer we also purchased with sensor dry. Sensor dry doesnt fully dry cloths alot. Pure trash. Cant believe I got rid of my 2 year old washer and dryer for this junk. Oh well live and learn.

So much to learn how the washer operates and reading the owners manual does not answer all the questions we had. Also had to go online to figure out how to best use the capabilities. It just takes time using the washer to figuring out which cycles are the best for the load.

I needed to replace my old washer and was faced with a choice between a washer with an agitator or a new style without. I was hesitant to get one without an agitator but went ahead and got one. It took me a little while to get comfortable with the cycles and controls but quickly found that this new washer worked very well and met all of my needs from a cleaning standpoint. I have had this unit for about 8 months and continue to be happy with its performance.

Ive only had this washer for roughly 2 weeks and Ive done 5 loads so far. The controls were easy to see and use. Ive been using the NORMAL setting for most of the wash but I quiet did a load of blankets using the HEAVY Duty setting. The machine is very quiet and stable. It does default to warm water so you have to manually change it to cold if you desire that. So far I am very pleased with my purchase. I deducted one star since I cant speak to reliability yet.

I was a little skeptical when I bought the impeller. But I shouldnt have been. It washes my clothes great. I have already used the bedding cycle the normal cycle the deep wash cycle and all cycles do great. I am so happy I went with the impeller instead of an agitator it holds my king comforter beautifully.

We purchased this top-load washer last summer. We had heard that LG products were very good. This washer is very undependable. When it operates as it should it does a very good job. However in-between those good times it causes problems. Frequently it stops right in the middle of a cycle and displays an error code. Usually its an incorrect code - inlet error when its full of water etc.
I have followed all suggestions in owners manual. Those suggestions dont apply. Quite often we end up wringing wet clothes out by hand. Sometimes unplugging helps sometimes it doesnt.
I have tried contacting LG customer service numerous times . Ive tried phone text and through their website. Lets call it Customer NO Service. I just get a runaround.
We do not recommend this washing machine.

It runs so quiet and smooth and I love the multiple wash cycle selections. It cleans the clothes great and uses less water too I am so pleased I bought my LG washer and dryer. It is the highest rated on CR and more importantly seems to be solidly built - a problem with the washer we had to return. It has somewhat less features than the other we bought but again seems to be better constructed and certainly has all the really needed features and more.

This was my first experience with LG but I was so impressed with the technology the large capacity and the way it cleaned my clothes that I also purchased an LG Microwave and refrigerator. I bought this washer and matching dryer about 6 weeks ago. Ive been married for 49 years and have lots of experience with laundry having tried all kinds of machines several brands and front load as well as top load.
This machine has an enormous capacity which is great when the kids grandkids come to visit. But it also handles the small frequent loads I do when there are just two of us. The key to a perfect experience is to read the manual and load the machine correctly. I will admit that I made a couple of mistakes the impeller is a new thing for me. Now that I understand it better Ive had zero problems. I love that the machine automatically weighs the load and determines the correct amount of water. I love the options including Heavy Duty Bedding Waterproof. and Delicate. Ive tried them all.
The machine is as quiet as any piece of machinery through which water runs can be. The only time I hear it is when it is draining.The rest of the cycle is quiet. I love the musical chimes at the end.
In summary....I am both experienced and picky having achieved at my age the status of professional laundress. I am very satisfied with this beautiful LG machine and fully expect it to last for many years.

Used bedding cycle and articles were too wet to put into dryer at end of wash cycle. Used spin only cycle following directions from pamphlet and the spin only cycle kept filling for an extra rinse - time time again - when it should have only been spinning dry. Very unhappy. Had to manually wring out quilt blanket to end cycle

We researched a lot of washers. We chose this brand and model because of the features and brand reputation. We have been trying out the different wash cycles and still having trouble with the lack of water in the loads. We have used the added water feature but sometimes it puts in too much water. It is all or nothing. Because this one has a clear lid we are able to see what is happening during the wash. It still doesnt seem like it is moving the clothes around enough even on the heavy soil. We are using a table spoon of liquid detergent with a full load and still have had soap debris on a few of the items coming out of the washer. Items get stuck in a spot and never move causing them not to get fully rinsed. I am just not sure if there is really any washer out there that works as good as the old ones where you set the water level temp. and agitation level. The cycles take such a long time and I dont think they spend enough time and movement when washing the clothing. We purchased the model with the impeller because we were afraid the agitator would damage the clothing with the low water levels. I would give this washer an average rating. I have to watch each load to see if it needs more water or not. Not an easy - put clothes in set the cycle and go - but takes up more of my time to oversee each time.
