Broken from day one. Forced to wait for a repair company to explore fixing. After three attempts. Maytag delivered a new dryer and still does not work!!!!
All Maytag does is give me the run around. Worst customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So it's great, only when it arrived it wouldn't heat up.
Luckily repair person came right out, they figured easy money for 2 minutes of work. Well 1.5 hours later the machine had been taken apart and reassembled far too many times and still no good.
So they stripped it down of all its components and plugged in each wire one at a time.
Apparently someone didn't wire it correctly or a wire was loose.
I specifically purchased this so an American worker would have a job, but the quality control was not there.
It's works now and it's great, so had it worked out if the box I'd give it 5 stars

So far, I'm generally pleased with this. I particularly like the PowerDry for heavy towels and jeans but I don't like that you can't change the heat setting for the Normal setting.

Have only used the dyer a few times, but it seems to be working good. Did have a couple of small loads that did not dry completely. I'll try a different heat setting and expect that that will take care of the problem. Large loads have dried very well. The dryer seems to be made well and so far, I like it a lot.

After having an older set of Maytag frontload dryer and washer, I was looking forward to my new set. They are so loud! The dryer takes longer to dry a smaller load. I want my old ones back. I had a repairman out to check them and he said basically I just had to live with it. He put a new drying sensor in but it takes just as long. I hate them both and would not buy them again!!!

This dryer functions well but compared to my last Maytag dryer, the lint screen is
not as good. Also the opening is smaller and the light is very dim inside.
You need to reroute the gas pipe coming out of the rear to make installing easier. (Sticks straight out). Calling in on your phone number is impossible to get through/

Installed the dryer in July and it worked great for a couple months. Then it began making a horrible sound and we have a service call scheduled for next week. Jury is still out on how this dryer will perform and last.

We had a Maytag dryer that was 26 years old! When it finally couldn't go anymore we replaced it with this new Maytag Gas Dryer. WOW! Not only is the appliance attractive, it offers a lot of drying options to get your job done. Also, I like the way the nobs make noises when you set your cycle or when it tells you it is done. With this appliance, you feel like you have a stellar laundry operating system and a modern laundry room!

We have had it for almost a month and we enjoy the fact that we can run it at anytime and it is almost noiseless. In the practical side we have try all the cycles available and it seems to dry in a effective way. I love the fact that checks the quality of air flow in every cycle. Nice feature and also reminds us to clean the lint trap.

Since the machine is new, my comments relate to the machine operating/drying as it should. The real test is how a product works over time. I replaced a (10 yr old) Samsung that, while it worked, had excellent features. When it came considering repair, the limited availability & of parts made repair a non issue. Since our Maytag Dishwasher is alive & well (replaced only a $5 part in "20 yrs"), I thought I would try another Maytag product, built in the USA.
