Bosch Speed Cook Oven

This is the least favorite of my Bosch Appliances. Actually, I only purchased this appliance because the dealer told me that Bosch did not make a microwave in the black stainless. I have since found out that this is not true. I do love the black stainless - so easy to keep clean. There are two signifcant design problems with the speed cook oven though. #1 - The bell to let you know that the cooking is finished is very low and hard to hear --even set on the high setting. #2 The door opens outward, rather than from the side. If you are short like myself, it is impossible for me to reach in to wipe clean the back inside. It is also difficult to retrieve the food.

the oven is lovely, but the micro design needs work! Lighting is beyond poor, the back wall very hard to clean, since you cant reach it, and overall a bit of a pain to operate. Not sure what the speed chef codes are, or do. manual is terrible

I love, love, love my new oven. It cooks to perfection and makes it so easy to do what I love, cook and bake till my heart is content.

Nice looking unit. We used this microwave and speed oven for about 6 months before the speed oven failed to work. Had technician come out only to tell us it would cost too much to fix...almost as much as original cost. Very disappointing. Hopefully future products won't be this defective.

We custom built our home a few years back and decided to have Bosch appliances. I wanted a double oven, but the Mrs. wanted a microwave that doesn't sit on the counter top. The speed oven door broke on us in about 2 years. The company that sold appliances to us have us an extra year warranty. By the time we remember and reach out to them it was over their coverage period. We had to buy a new door to replace the spring; I'm told there is no way to just replace the springs.
Our replacement broke about 1 year later. The door is not cheap! We are just going to use our speed oven to it dies. No point replacing it when it will just break again.
So disappointed in Bosch design and engineering. Save your money...don't buy the speed oven.

Reheats my frozen food that I cooked thoroughly. The pizza and popcorn setting worked awesome. Haven't used as an oven yet. Love the black stainless steel color.

Hard to clean back wall. Could use better/more defrosting options. Have to regularly clean fingerprints off touchscreen. Could use better reheating controls.

The speed oven/microwave combo is a great addition to our newly renovated kitchen. The black stainless finish is a modern look, and one that is easy to clean. The multi-functions (microwave, convection, broiler) are a nice combination in an eye-appeasing package. Truly a quality appliance. If my wife could change one thing, she would prefer a swing out door rather than a pull-down; this would allow for shorter people to reach the back of the unit for cleaning. Having said that, we would definitely purchase this unit again.

It have very limited functionality as a speed oven. Mostly we hit the 30 second button. Now the display panel is fading fast, meaning we can't see anything we key in. Had it a few years. We spent $2k on a $50 MW
